Chicken Apple Sausage & Cabbage Sauté

Chicken Apple Sausage Cabbage Saute
Autoimmune Recipe Tag
This is a quick skillet meal that comes together extremely fast. It has minimal ingredients and can be cooked ahead of time, and reheated in a pan prior to serving.

Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 15 minutes
Serves: 4

Ingredients

2 tablespoons coconut oil
4 additive-free, gluten & dairy free chicken sausages, thinly sliced
2 cups shredded cabbage – green or savoy
1 cup chopped apples
Sea salt/pink Himalayan salt to taste
Pepper to taste (if tolerated)

Directions

1.  In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat oil and cook sausage slices for 3 minutes per side, or until lightly browned.  

2. Add cabbage and cook until it begins to caramelize and brown, about 7 minutes.

3. Add apples and cook for another 5 minutes, season to taste with salt and pepper as needed.

4. Serve warm.
