Spreading the word about the symptoms of Hashimoto’s and reversing Hashimoto’s is my life’s calling! Over the past few years, I’ve done my best to “shout it from the rooftops” taking every opportunity I humanly can to speak or write about thyroid health so that I can reach and help more people.
However, over the last 6 months I’ve had to cut down on my online speaking as I’ve been traveling the country speaking in person about innovative approaches to Hashimoto’s as well as learning from experts and patients who have had success with reversing thyroid disease!

As a result of my schedule, I have declined to participate in many of the online summits focused on general approaches to health. While I love how these events have helped me raise awareness about Hashimoto’s, I have decided to take time away from participating in them because much of the time I am only able to discuss really basic things that many of my readers already know.
The only events I have agreed to participate in are the ones where I can go in really deep to share some of my latest research and approaches to overcoming Hashimoto’s. I really want to teach you how to fish so that you can take charge of your own health and reduce your dependence on doctors!
I love connecting with my readers to share approaches that make a huge difference and to help them connect the dots for recovering their health! For example, those people who keep losing foods, are tired, and have multiple food sensitivities often have chronic gut infections, while people who are fatigued, hormonal, and overweight usually have adrenal issues. People who are anxious and have hair loss usually have blood sugar imbalances because they are not getting enough fat into their diet. So check out my upcoming talks on Infections, Adrenals and Food to help yourself get your health back!
If you’re looking for specific information on how to recover your health, I recommend tuning into my upcoming events:
Every morning, I jump out of bed motivated by the thought that “Today, I might reach one more person with the truth that they can recover their health from thyroid disease.”
It’s a passion that burns deep within me and just thinking about how my new documentary series, The Thyroid Secret, will reach so many people with that very truth excites me more than words can describe!
The mission of this project is to raise awareness about thyroid disease and empower people to implement natural alternatives and therapies to get their health back.
Over the past year, I’ve had the incredible opportunity to meet with over 100 experts and success stories from all over the country and hear their stories of how they helped others overcome thyroid disease or have overcome it themselves. Sometimes, they’ve done both! They shared their priceless insight with me in The Thyroid Secret, and I can’t wait for you to see it!
The Thyroid Pharmacist Insider’s Exclusive Screening will start on January 19th, 2017.
I’ve poured my heart into this series, and I know it will touch each person in a unique and individual way. There’s something in each episode for everyone, and we are just about ready to share it with the world…but before we do, I have to share a secret with you.
I’m practically giddy thinking about how much you will enjoy it and can’t wait to hear what you think! In case you haven’t been to the website, please click here to learn more about this amazing project.
From diagnosis to fertility to Graves and Hashimoto’s to thyroid cancer and nutrition, toxins, adrenals, healing and more, we cover every topic and debunk the myths that linger over thyroid disease like a haze.
I know you you’re going to benefit from the invaluable information in each episode and I hope you’ll join me on this journey of a lifetime.
I hope you and your loved ones are having a wonderful start to 2017. I always like reflecting and taking inventory of the past year and just soaking up the memories. It helps me celebrate the wins and learn from my experiences, especially when it comes to my health.
I realized the other day that nearly 16 years have gone by since I began to have health challenges, back in the spring of 2001… In some ways, I can’t believe that this much time has passed, and yet time has flown.
I’ve been thinking a lot about the young woman I used to be before I became sick- I was carefree, energetic, funny, witty, outgoing, outspoken and a free spirit who loved nothing more than a good laugh. Autoimmune thyroid disease changed me. While, I was lucky to finally get a diagnosis in 2009, almost a decade of fatigue took little pieces of me, bit by bit. The anxiety, fatigue, brain fog, muscle pain, and depression made me doubt myself and doubt my true strength, intelligence and powers.
I began to conserve my energy and withdraw from the world. I no longer wanted to connect with friends. I stopped playing full out, because I knew that my body wasn’t going to be able to fully recover.
I remember the days of walking into the doctor’s office and being told that I was aging and depressed and too stressed out. They dismissed my chronic pain, debilitating fatigue, and a myriad of other symptoms as all in my head. I always left so utterly defeated (and so misdiagnosed!)
When I finally was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s, an autoimmune thyroid condition, I was relieved- I finally got an answer to my struggles! But I also got a wake-up call. You see, autoimmune disease is progressive. When you have one autoimmune condition, you are more likely to get another condition and your life can be slowly taken from you…
Conventional physicians treat autoimmune thyroid disease with thyroid hormones and recommend monitoring for additional autoimmune conditions. Basically, come back, and then we’ll do something if you get worse.
While I’m a proponent of thyroid hormones (they can really help!)- I also believe in addressing the autoimmune component of the condition though functional medicine. This can slow down and even halt and reverse the progression of autoimmunity.
My good friend, Dr. Peter Osborne feels the same way and is passionate about connecting the dots for people so that everyone has the chance to take back their health. He’s offering a free online Autoimmune Revolution Summit starting January 30th that covers how to break the cycle of autoimmunity!
Plus he’s sharing six changes you can implement to immensely improve your health.
I’m so honored to be one of the 30+ experts participating in the Summit, and I want to personally invite you to register as my guest. We’re going to dig into root causes and how to reverse autoimmune disease!
The Autoimmune Summit starts in just a few days, and I know that spots will fill up fast. I hope you’ll take a quick minute to reserve your spot and join me.
Dr. Osborne will share how many doctors prescribe immune-suppressing drugs that are causing a mega health crisis. He likes to call this “The Prescription Pain Trap,” and I think you’ll find it fascinating. I know I did.
I’m thankful for you and grateful to have a small part in your healing journey. I know the information shared at the Summit will be helpful and I’m so excited to welcome you as my guest!
